CONCEPT
The story of the statue of Fido on the streets of Italy is well known. This product is inspired by Fido, this multi-functional ladder stool, quite sculptural shape, sophisticated materials and techniques, worthy of becoming an indispensable all-around king in the home space.
Xinyu Weng
Weng Xinyu was born in 1987 in Taizhou, China. He graduated from CUC in Beijing majoring in German Studies, after which he studied product design at Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany. After exhibiting his graduate projects works at various design fairs, he co-founded YUUE design studio to practice his design ideas. In 2022, Weng Xinyu became a German citizen.
YUUE is a Berlin-based design studio that reimagines objects for daily life. YUUE explores human-object relationships with special emphasis on interactivity and emotion. YUUE also uses design to intervene in environmental and social issues to express an independent attitude.
YUUE is honored as “Top 50 German Designer” by AD Germany and “Emerging Design Star” by AD China in 2016. YUUE’s works have been nominated by various design awards including German Design Award and Dezeen Design Award.
